About Us – JPM Society

Founded in 2012 by a collective of visionary entrepreneurs and educators, Janardan Prasad Memorial Society has consistently focused on bringing positive change to society through the strategic use of Science and Technology. We are driven by our mission to create opportunities for skill development, enhance livelihoods, and promote entrepreneurship across underserved communities, particularly in rural areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Our Vision

At JPM Society, we envision a society where individuals are empowered with the knowledge and skills to transform their lives and communities. By harnessing innovation and practical learning, we aim to foster economic self-sufficiency and sustainability, creating a brighter future for all.

Our Key Initiatives

1. Skill Development, Innovation & Entrepreneurship:
   In 2015, we established the JPM(P)ITI, a state-of-the-art skill development center that is accredited by the Quality Council of India and affiliated with the National Council of Vocational Training. Over the years, we’ve trained more than 1000 students, equipping them with valuable skills for industries such as Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto Ltd., and Havells. Furthermore, we collaborate with organizations like SIDBI and Let’s Endorse to conduct Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Training Programs that spark innovation and open doors for new business ventures.

2. Livelihood Generation and Enterprise Development:
   Our work extends to rural entrepreneurship, where we’ve helped establish successful ventures like “Brown Bead Creations” and “Saroj Terracotta Jewellery.” These businesses have provided steady employment to hundreds of individuals, particularly women. Through partnerships with agencies like NABARD, DST, and SIDBI, we offer comprehensive training programs in terracotta ornament making, banana fiber handicrafts, bio-liquid fertilizer production, and more. These programs not only provide income but also enable women to become financially independent.

3. Education and Community Empowerment:
   Education is at the core of our mission. We have actively educated communities on important subjects like menstrual health, sanitation, and cyber security. Our partnership with the Department of Science & Technology has allowed us to organize workshops and training sessions for students, guiding them through the process of idea generation, problem-solving, and turning their ideas into practical models.

4. Sustainable Development and Future Endeavours:
   JPM Society continues to explore new opportunities for sustainable development, particularly in agriculture and allied sectors. Our initiatives in beekeeping, fish farming, medicinal plants, and banana fiber processing are helping to build resilient communities that can thrive in a sustainable way. We also work with Farmers’ Producer Organizations (FPOs) to develop agricultural clusters and encourage eco-friendly practices.
