Success Story
In the heart of Kushinagar district, Uttar Pradesh, there lived a young woman named Rashmi, whose passion for crafting was boundless. Hindered by the lack of opportunities in her rural community, Rashmi turned to teaching at a local primary school.
Our ITI initiative unfolded in Kushinagar, aimed at providing technical training and job prospects for the region’s youth, we discovered Rashmi’s extraordinary talent. Witnessing the depth of her creativity, we extended our support by showcasing her the latest designs and introducing her to the world of molds and specialized tools readily available in the market.
Through dedicated workshops, Rashmi became not only a skilled artisan but also a mentor to other local women, opening doors to economic independence. Today, Rashmi leads a team of 200+ dedicated women, collectively engaged in crafting exquisite beads, designing, and painting.

Together, they have become an integral part of our journey, participating in numerous exhibitions and showcasing their creations on platforms like Amazon, eHaat, and even at the Gorakhpur Railway Station. Under the banner of ‘Brown Bead Terracotta Jewelry,’ their work stands as a testament to the transformational power of skill and opportunity.
With this success and impact of change we saw, we decided to take such opportunity to other villages of near by districts, using their local resources and training them to make products out of locally available resources. We have reached Palia Kalan in Lakhimpur Kheri and now
We participated in Uttar pradesh International Trade Show, held in September 2023, to showcase their products and got a great response. The products which we were selling in 300-450 rs, was happily accepted in 700-800 Rs. This gave a great confidence to our ladies.
